family Weekly News

7.5.2009
Monday started with a shopping trip to Asda. It was raining very heavily all morning. Cleared up in the afternoon and we watched Hazel trying out her new in-line skates. She was a bit apprehensive at first but soon got the hang of finding her balance.
Cooked a meal for 5 in the evening.
Tuesday morning was nice and fine.
Cliff, Petra and Hazel spent the morning at the “WET and WILD” in North Shields and they all enjoyed it very much.
Gwen spent the morning doing housework and ironing while I was in the garden cutting the grass and having a general tidy-up.
Hazel tried out her new bike which was a hand down from Lauren, it’s in very good condition and they are taking it back to Germany.
In the evening we all met at the Café at the South Beach in Blyth where we had Fish and Chips followed by Ice Creams.
Wednesday and Cliff and family are getting packed ready to get the ferry in the afternoon to go back home to Frankfurt.
We did a meal for them at mid-day and they left about 2.30.
Thursday morning Petra rang from the car to say they had had a good crossing and were well into Holland on their way home.
We went to Bedlington for the Market and Car-Boot sale, Gwen bought a few books and I bought a unit to put my Mac computer on.
Cliff rang in the evening to say they arrived home about 2.30 and everything was OK. We talked later on IM.
Friday I was up early and decided to clean all the tiled floors, Kitchen, Bathroom, Dining room and Hall.
One of the neighbours called to say that the cleaners had found a child’s watch in the guest flat where Cliff, Petra and Hazel had been staying. It was Hazels and we are grateful to the cleaners for handing it in. We posted it off to Frankfurt.
We heard from Les that Sam (2 years old) had come home from hospital after a bowel operation, he has recovered well and hopefully will soon be his old self.
Saturday and it was pouring down again!
We went into Blyth for some shopping and food for the fish and got wet through. It was quite fine in the evening but a cold wind off the north sea started again.
Spent all evening on the computer catching up with Emails and sending a load out, then trying to catch up with all the friends requests on FaceBook, I don’t think I’m ever going to get ahead of them.
Sunday morning I was woken up at 6.00am with a very severe cramp in my leg. It is very painful and I can hardly walk at the moment, I’ll try and see my Doctor on Monday as this is happening fairly often.
Spent the morning feeding the birds and fish, made the beds and had a bit play with my Mac computer, still can’t work out what to do with it.
Had an hour in the garden, mainly sitting but I’ve started tackling the 15 ft. hedge to try and get it back to about 6ft.
Spoke to Cliff briefly on IM everyone else seems to be away.
Trying some new programs on this computer for the rest of the evening
Gwen continues to make good but slow progress, and is really looking forward to having the operation on her other eye on Wednesday.
Thanks for all your messages of good-will for Gwen, she enjoys me telling her what you have said.
