Latest news of Gwen

Gwen is still in very poor health. The ulcer on her back is a last showing signs of healing, getting treatment 3 times a week from the district nurse. Gwen's weight has improved slightly from 5st 1oz in August when she was in hospital, to 5st 6oz just before Christmas, and yesterday when we saw the specialist in elderly medicine it is up to 5st.12oz. Gwen is still very weak and not able to do very much for herself, but she wanted to go for a short ride in the car to Whitly bay to have a look at a book shop. She quite enjoyed it, it's the first time she has been anywhere other than hospital since August. Gwen is eating very well now, having quite large meals, and taking all the vitamins and supplements that have been prescribed. So hopefully we should see some improvement in the next few weeks.
